What Leonardo DaVinci espoused in the 15th century, we now refer to as “KISS”, which in the PC parlance of the 21st century translates to “Keep it Suitably Short”. For the past 20 years, Source4Quality, Inc. has been providing quality management system consulting solutions to manufacturers, distributors and service firms and to non-profit and governmental organizations. Our offerings have and will continue to be anchored by this fundamental principle:
The only solutions are practical solutions. Everything else is a waste of time and money. While our customers span many industries and markets the overwhelming majority are small organizations, some with as few as six employees. So, for us, simplicity and practicality are the "sine qua non" (without which there is nothing) of everything we do.
Our SERVICES focus mainly upon ISO9001, ISO13485, 21CFR820 (gmp) and AS9100. They include:
Quality system training, implementation and documentation
Internal Auditor Training
Internal Audit Outsourcing
Accredited ISO9001 Certification by QEC CERTIFICATION http://www.qecus.com
Our PRODUCT offerings feature affordable, software based applications and utilities designed to be easy-to-use, effective tools for controlling, managing and assuring quality. Many are specifically designed with small to mid-sized organizations in mind - with "small budget" restrictions - while others are useable and useful for organizations of all sizes.
A message from the President about money and quality
“Show me an organization with money problems and I’ll show you an organization with quality problems.” (Leonardo DaVinci did not say that but, he probably would have had he thought of it.)
It is the purpose of every quality system to satisfy the needs of its stakeholders. Among them are the two, “uber” stakeholders.
The customers who pay for our products and services, and
The owners of the enterprise who expect a certain return on their investment.
A system that fails to consistently satisfy both those stakeholders is unsustainable. It is such a delicately balanced scale that there is no alternative to satisfying both masters.
Because you are our customers* - or we hope you will be –we accept the responsibility to not only design our products and services with simple sophistication but also to price them as low as we can consistent with our mutual needs.
It’s simple, really. It is in our best interest to look out for our customers’ best interests. As long as the lights are still on at SourceQuality, Inc., I promise we will be doing exactly that.
Charles J. Scalies
President
* We have "customers". We do not have "clients", "patrons" or "consumers", terms, which in my opinion, are specifically designed to make you forget that you are The Customer. Perhaps companies who employ such terms do so to avoid acknowledging, as my Father taught, "The customer is always right. Just like Mom."
And speaking about money.
Trade Adjustment Assistance for Firms (TAA) is a federal program that provides financial assistance to manufacturers affected by import competition. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Commerce, this federal assistance program helps pay for projects that improve a firm's competitiveness.
TAA offers 50/50 cost sharing of projects aimed at improving a manufacturer's competitive position. Specifically, these matching funds are applied toward the cost of consultants, engineers, designers or industry experts for improvement projects in areas such as manufacturing, engineering, marketing, information technology and quality, including quality management system certification to, e.g., ISO9001, ISO13485 and AS9100.
TAA pays for half of the cost of these services, up to $150,000 in projects with a maximum TAA share of $75,000. Actual levels of assistance depend on a variety of factors.
The folks at TAA can give you a fairly quick indication of your business' potential eligibility for these grants. For further information about this grant program and to locate your local area office see http://www.taacenters.org
