There is usually only one document in Level I, the Quality Manual. This document's purpose is to provide an overview of the Quality Management System (QMS), and to set out the intentions, or the policies, of the company in implementing and maintaining this system to ensure customer satisfaction. This document provides the justification, or the why, of the QMS.
