MODULE TWO - WRITERS AND ISO 9000 IMPLEMENTATION
The Recommended Documentation Structure (continued)
Characteristics of Level I Documentation
Level I documentation is usually short, approximately one
to two pages per clause/subclause of the standard. This documentation
should state policy ONLY, and not describe any processes nor provide details
on how things are done. The organizations Management Representative is
identified at this point, usually providing details such as name; address,
including e-mail; and telephone and fax numbers.
This level of documentation provides a reference to the
next level, Level II, of documentation within the company.
