However, clause 4.2, Documentation Requirements, sub-clause 4.2.1, General, of the standard states:
"The Quality Management System documentation shall include:
| a) | Documented procedures required by this International Standard. |
| b) | Documents required by the organization to ensure the effective planning, operation, and control of its processes" |
A notation under this sub-clause further states:
"The extent of the quality management system documentation shall be dependent on the following:
| a) | Size and type of organization |
| b) | Complexity and interaction if the processes |
| c) | Competence of the personnel" |
